About this museum and its collection

Aalten Musems consists of three museums under one roof: Markt 12 Museum, Frerikshuus and Freriksschure. Markt 12 Museum is an interactive museum about life during the Second World War, fugitives and resistance. Frerikshuus is a centuries-old mansion with a presentation on the history of Aalten and surrounding region, including a feature on Aalten’s horn industry. Freriksschure is a small farm in the city with a presentation of agricultural objects and traditional crafts.
