About this museum and its collection
Werkspoor Museum is housed in the former Dutch East India Company (VOC) ropewalk and Admiralty headquarters, built around 1660. The objects on show relate both to the VOC shipyard at Oostenburg, and the history of Werkspoor factory (today Stork NV) and its predecessors, going back to Paul van Vlissingen in 1827.
