About this museum and its collection
The museum occupies several historical buildings, including Friesland and Groningen’s seventeenth-century naval headquarters. Its permanent display features finds from archaeological excavations, folk art, paintings, Frisian pottery, Frisian silverware and a collection of textiles. A permanent presentation on St Boniface (c. 672-754) can also be seen.
